I have past experience in teaching where I tutored English to GCSE students. This experience was a great opportunity for me to help students achieve their full potential and build an understanding of the subject itself.
I enjoy the challenge of teaching students academically but also helping them to thrive socially. As a team player, I have joined and participated in committees during my time at university. I was a part of African Caribbean Society (ACS) where I enjoyed learning about different cultures, customs and practices. Being a part of this society, along with my passion for teaching, sparked my interest for teaching English abroad.
My past experience working within customer service and teaching environment gave me the opportunity to connect with others to build good working relationships with not only my colleagues but customers too. I gained excellent time management, organisation and a keen eye for detail which would be essential to have in a teaching role.
