While working for a long time as a production PD at MBC Radio, I directed and produced a number of programs. Representative directing programs include [Lee Jeok's Starry Night], [Lee So-ra's Music City], [Yoon Jong-shin's 2:00 Date], [Tablo Cho Jeong-rin's Close Friend], [Kim Ea-na's Letter at Night], [Park Kyung-lim's There are [Starry Night], [Lee Joo-yeon's film music], [Bae Chul-soo's music camp], [Son Seok-hee's Attention] (Director) / [Idol Radio] project.

While producing/directing programs, I have won numerous broadcasting-related awards, including [Korea Broadcasting Awards], [PD Awards], and [Broadcasting and Communications Deliberation Committee's [Good Program of the Month Award] (awarded twice).

When I was working at MBC, I had the experience of covering and staying in many countries for about 2 years (6 months in Europe, 3 months in China, 3 months in Southwest Asia, 1 month in Africa, etc.).

While working as a producer of radio programs at MBC, I have thought that radio PDs play the same role as Korean language teachers for listeners. This is because radio producers must make contents understandable to listeners solely through sound and in their native language.

While producing about 30 programs for 26 years, I always tried to use the correct Korean language and studied Korean language. Based on this knowledge and experience, I want to teach the right Korean language in a fun and enjoyable way.

As for me, I can approach new things enthusiastically, and do not like working alone (Sometimes, I used to love taking a exercise alone, swimming, climbing a mountain and jogging). Furthermore, I am an outgoing and sociable personality to adapt myself to new environments very quick. My blood type is O so enjoy meeting people and adjusting each opinion and really happy to create synergy effect. Meanwhile, my weakness point is that it is hard for me to get angry. Instead of that, I tried to understand other person’s situation and consider why he(or she) could do that. So I constantly have a time to take a exercise so as to relief stresses.

I began tutoring students at a young age. I tutored kids of the same age for their TOEFL exams at 16. I also have experience working as a teaching assistant to elementary school students and years of experience working with kids from ages 5-13. I have a psychology degree and am extremely interested in developmental psychology and the education of children. I have an outgoing personality and get along with children easily. I also speak multiple languages and am very adaptable to any environment.

One of my key strengths is communication both as a speaker and in writing. As a professionally qualified tour guide and teacher with over a decade of experience I am a clear and articulate communicator. I also have over six years experience working in project and programme management at UK Parliament, a role that included communicating complex and varied information in written reports to management boards and Members of Parliament to inform and influence decision making. I very much enjoy meeting and connecting with people from different backgrounds and cultures both through my work and through my extensive solo travels by bicycle which have seen me cycle over 40,000km through 50+ countries around the world.

As a professionally qualified Project & Programme Manager I have strong well practiced skills in business planning, resource and stakeholder management and best practice in governance and reporting. I have contributed successfully to large project initiatives across corporate, information and construction projects while maintaining impartiality. I have an organised approach to tasks.

I am a resilient and resourceful problem solver having worked in high pressure situations and on high profile projects. For example I have safely led a tour group out of Parliament during a terrorist attack on site and I have cycled solo and unsupported across the Negev, Gobi and Sahara deserts. In my profession I have analysed data in reports to senior management and MP's which have directly influenced policy, for example implementing the Outreach Services Westminster sessions and the schools travel subsidy project which contributed significantly to the core objectives of these services and created broader access to information for public and students.

I am a curious and proactive individual who has a great deal of experience interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and I understand the importance of treating everyone equally with respect and honesty.

I have a wide variety of experience teaching abroad, especially in East Asia, so I'm familiar with the kind of pressures that students in Qingdao face. I am passionate about education and have studied widely in the Humanities, achieving first-class honours in English at Durham University, studying for a year abroad in Hong Kong, and attaining competitive scholarships for my Masters degree at the University of Oxford. I am very excited by the prospect of working for an international school, and am particularly interested in working with secondary level students.
