I have experience in a number of relevant positions, including teaching in primary schools. My most significant experience in relation to this application was at 'Manor Courses', an international English language school. There, I learned many skills in communication, interacting with patience and boundaries with students, as well as how to engage them in learning. I have numerous voluntary experiences, such as at the 'Samaritans' and as a mental health advocate, which have helped me to be a good communicator.

I am a passionate and enthusiastic individual, conveying an enthusiasm for ideas that I have to others. This energy means that I have a strong work ethic, and care deeply about what I do.

Patient and inquisitive American mixed race creative born and raised in Southern California. Graduated in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in sociology at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Currently living in Los Angeles, California.

Experience in background acting, restaurant & courier services, nonprofit organizations, children's piano performance. Demonstrated skills in critical analysis, customer service & satisfaction, music performance, creative improvisation, performance coaching for children under ten, and community organizing.

Personal interests include drawing, screenwriting, acting/improv, serigraphy, historical research, and Afro-Cuban drumkit.

In terms of experience, I have been a hall senior for my university, which involved living with the students in halls and being a first point of contact for any questions or problems they may have. I helped to organise introduction week events for the university students and made sure everyone felt comfortable and got to know each other in the initial weeks. I have also had lots of experience with babysitting; from the ages of 8-14. I entertain the kids and play games with them, and often cook food and help them with their homework. I sometimes have to stay over if the parents are away for a night and help them go to school the next day. I have also been involved with the youth group at my local church on sundays. This involved teaching the children about morals and life lessons through games and songs, which was really fun and rewarding. At high school, I was the House Captain. I was elected for this and had to make sure that my house was integrating across all years. I helped with activities such as sports days and variety shows, which were across all the years, and helped the students fell comfortable and part of a wider family in the school.

I have a very bubbly and outgoing personality, and love to interact with new people. I believe this would make me an ideal candidate for teaching english to a class of new students. In terms of working style, I am a hard worker, who loves to be challenged and put out of my comfort zone, therefore I believe throwing myself into life in Korea as a teacher would be a perfect fit for me. In my Physics degree, I learnt how to think logically and to work calmly under pressure, even when tight deadlines were set. Furthermore, I am able to express myself thoughtfully and in a structured manner, which I believe will make me a valuable English teacher. I am currently completing a 120-Hour TEFL course online, which I have found extremely worthwhile and has increased my knowledge of how I would style my classes when teaching English to young students, to get the most out of each lesson.

I want to teach english in Korea because I want to do something fulfilling and worthwhile. I want to give my knowledge and help more children to learn english, which is ever-increasingly important in today's globalised society. I have had experience working with children in school, at church and outside of education with my babysitting experience, and I thoroughly enjoy interacting with them. There have often been times when they have come to me for advice and I feel honoured to have the responsibility to be a role model for them. This is something I would love to be able to continue by teaching English abroad in Korea.

I am a positive and highly responsible native English speaker, with the enthusiasm, self motivation and versatility to work to the best of my ability, and share my linguistic skills with students and others alike.

I have experience working with children in a new culture, creating a friendly atmosphere as a camp counselor has allowed me to grow my skills and maturity through working at a camp for a total of three previous summers. I describe my personality as typically calm with a good sense of humor, I am known for constantly smiling and having a positive attitude. I have gained many relevant skills in recent years, an abundant amount from my time at camp, working with children every day for months, as well as through my degree in outdoor education, which I am confident will set me up strong to become a great English teacher.

I am an enthusiastic educator with 2+ years of teaching and tutoring experience. I am seeking a position in education where I can demonstrate my passion for teaching, extensive mathematical knowledge and strong communication skills.

I am prepared to work flexible hours and capable of executing given tasks to successful completion under pressure; individually or in a team. I also enjoy working around students, problem solving and learning new skills. From my teaching experience I have gained extreme patience, the ability to communicate ideas to others and lead teams.

My tutoring experience in various subjects include mathematics, physics and chemistry. In helping my students achieve their desired grades or higher in their National Exams; I have honed my ability to engage with students, inspire confidence and communicate effectively.

As an ESL teacher in China, I taught students ranging from 3 to 17 year olds. During this time, I built and sustained strong relationships with students and parents. Furthermore, I developed and effectively used various teaching techniques tailored to each student’s unique learning style.

I volunteered in my daughter's classes when she was in elementary school from K-4th grade, I also worked in the library. I can get on the level of the child I am teaching so they feel comfortable talking with them and they open up.

I want to become a teacher because I want to be of service to people around the world. Learning the motivation of international students who want to learn English has inspired me to utilize my skills to help in any way that I can. I feel fulfilled when I guide students through the journey of learning. I enjoy the challenge that teaching brings because it allows me to be creative and to think outside the box. I am most looking forward to seeing students’ progress in their efforts to learn English. It brings me true joy to see students gain confidence in their abilities. I am also looking forward to the new challenges that come with teaching English internationally. I am a team player, and I am eager to learn and experience a new culture. I am sure that while teaching English internationally may present some challenges, it will be a great experience. While obtaining my CELTA, I am proud to have gotten the highest grade possible of a Pass A. This was a result of my diligence and commitment to being a good teacher. I have over five years of professional experience working in education, and I look forward to being an asset to your school.
