I have over 13 years of corporate sales and have gained a range of experience and skills.
As a sales executive I was required to make quick decisions, negotiate, analyse and think critically. I gained the knowledge and skills through experience to solve problems creatively in a calm manner. My experience has also taught me to apply persuasive written and oral communications. I am self-reliant and have tremendous initiative and manage time well due to my experience in planning, designing and implementing work flow. I am self motivated and driven by inspired cause. I enjoy social interactions, adventures and experiencing different cultures. I am a well rounded individual who is well able to adapt to different situations and circumstances.

I am an enthusiastic TEFL tutor looking for an opportunity to teach English in South Korea. I have 10 years experience in public service, and am now looking for a chance to try something new. I took my TEFL qualification last year and passed with flying colours. Since then I have been tutoring students at a prestigious private school in London, who need extra help with English as an Additional Language. This is both aimed at preparing them for exams (GCSE, IELTs) and helping them get the most out of their time in the UK. I have found it really rewarding to work with the students, from assessing the areas they need to to work on, to identifying the topics and areas that enthuse them and help them learn the lessons that they need.

I have found it best with the students to always remain calm and confident, and to listen to both their interests and their concerns. Sometimes the students have had stressful days at school, or have tests to prepare for, and then I make sure that we just focus on the key points of the lesson and I try not to place any additional pressure on them. Sometimes the students come prepared to tell me about something interesting or fun that happened to them in the last week, and then I try to incorporate that into the lesson so that they can feel engaged with what I need to teach.

I have visited South Korea several times since 2015 and love it! I have loved visiting places throughout Korea, meeting Koreans, trying new foods and shopping for amazing Korean skincare! I know several people from the UK who have taught in public and private schools in Korea and they have all said they had a fabulous experience and found it difficult to leave when their contracts came to an end. I would love the chance to experience this for myself and share my skills with some new students!

I am a dedicated individual with over 7 years experience in customer service. The skills I have picked up in this industry are highly transferrable and relate to many different aspects of teaching. I am excellent at communicating clearly and effectively, this is both with colleagues and customers. I am a great problem solver, which I believe is a fundamental quality for those teaching and working with children and young adults.

In 2011 I took part in a charity programme called CatZero and obtained a sailing qualification. Through this I learnt the importance of team work, time management and health and safety. I’m always looking for ways to push myself and achieve new qualifications.

I really enjoy exploring, whether it be around the UK or other destinations around the world. I like experiencing other cultures and believe that this can only enrich life. For example; in June I will be travelling to Thailand to volunteer as an assistant teacher for two weeks. I am extremely excited to live within their culture during my time there as well as visiting some of the more usual tourist destinations in out-of-school time.

Additionally in July I am travelling to America, spending time in Michigan sailing on scenic lakes and enjoying time with my family out there. I will also be visiting New York for a few days and I am looking forward the cosmopolitan atmosphere ad the fast-paced life of the city.

I am a kind and caring person, I enjoy working with children especially younger children because I can get on their level and help them open up to me. I volunteered for 5 years in my daughter's classrooms. I worked with the kids in groups helping them with any art work or class work they were doing. I corrected class work and returned it to the teachers. I also worked one on one with a student that other parents had a hard time dealing with, I was able to get on his level and get him to do hid work. I also helped the students with their reading, they had to read allowed and if there were any issues I helped with pronouncing of words.

I recently graduated from Boston University with a major in Psychology. Since high school I have had a passion for working with and helping the youth. I am tenacious, yet patient and open minded. I love interacting with children and once thought of becoming a teacher.

In Hawaii, I volunteered with an organization that catered to children with diseases and/or disabilities, and I currently work as a behavior therapist with a company called Boston ABA.

I have no teaching experience but I am a quick learner, and currently in the process of receiving a TELF certification.

I love working with children. I currently volunteer with my church’s Sunday school and teach elementary school age children. I volunteered for 5years in my daughter’s classes. I helped the teacher grade papers and worked in groups with the students. I also worked one on one with a child that other parents would not work with, I was able to help him concentrate and do his work. I am kind and caring when dealing with children and can get on their level when interacting with them.

I have a year of teaching English experience in Korea and am excited to return to Korea to resume my English teaching career. I like to have fun with my students and bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom to ensure they are happy and learning in a safe and positive educational environment. I have all of my visa documents prepared and am ready to return to Korea as soon as I find a suitable position.

I am a strong willed, passionate and dedicated individual that always strives for the best in myself and others. I am flexible, pick up new skills quickly and enjoy new challenges which fall outside my comfort zone.

I have had a strong interest in teaching for a number of years now and have been working hard to achieve that goal. I also wish to travel and see new parts of the world and I believe teaching abroad offers me the best of both worlds.

I love working with young learners and have experience in several classroom settings, including children aged 4-5 and 7-9. I have a range of knowledge of classroom management, lesson planning and in teaching groups English. I have recently completed my 120 Hour TEFL certificate, which gives me a firm understanding of what challenges might await me should I come to South Korea and teach English.

I graduated from University with a 2:1 in English, so that gives me a sound knowledge of the language I will be teaching. I have also acquired valuable life skills, having been in the world of work for a number of years in both the military and in the private sector.

I have an easy going but professional personality and can fit in well, working efficiently as both part of a team and individually. I believe South Korea has a strong and rich heritage, which is something I wish to be a part of. I think my working skills, along with my qualifications and classroom knowledge, would make me a strong candidate for a teaching role in your country.

I am a CELTA-trained teacher with over 6 months of full time teaching experience, which I undertook after graduating with a First Class degree in English Language and Linguistics. I taught a range of levels of English ability, in classes of mostly adults. I did however spend a month teaching classes of children and teenagers, so I have some experience with these age groups also. Around 50% of the lessons I taught followed a curriculum set by the school and the rest were planned and prepared by me. Therefore I am skilled in teaching with a textbook and also in devising and delivering lessons from scratch.

My personality helps me very much in the classroom. I am warm, friendly and patient, so my students feel comfortable and ready to learn very quickly. I always endeavor to understand each student's individual learning needs and be considerate of these in class. I am focused on my lesson plans, but relaxed enough to allow certain discussions or activities to extend beyond my plan if the students are becoming very engaged and are developing their English language skills in a productive way.

I am a native English speaker from America with a Bachelor's Degree. I'm a responsible professional who is open-minded to other cultures and feel I would be a great fit for this opportunity. I am not looking at this as any sort of vacation, and I acquired a 120 hour TEFL certificate to help me along.
