ESL Teachers

I have recently finish my Masters in Marketing and Public Relations and have worked in Communications for 5 years. My education and previous work has given me the opportunity to effectively communicate with a diverse range of people in numerous scenarios. I have recieved training in delivering training, management and leadership and believe that these experiences have given me the tools to teach English.

I am empathetic and so I can understand others thoughts and feelings through my high emotional intelligence and active listening which means I can help students who may have difficulties learning. I'm also innovative and creative meaning that I will be able to think of fun ways for people to learn. I can respond well to unexpected situations and be adaptable to changing my behaviour for different levels and ages. I like to be sure that I am organised and work well independently but also believe that teamwork is essential for success. Finally, I am confident and enthusiastic about work which I am passionate about and teaching English aboard is a job I have always wanted to do!

I currently work at a 학완 in Seongnam-si but am looking for new employment at a smaller school or Kindergarten. I have a few months experience as a teacher of English now and I have learned quite a lot about how to teach here in Korea.

I have a very bright and positive personality and enjoy working with children. I actually work with the children currently at my church in Seoul. I keep watch over the younger kids ages 3-5 while their parents are in classes. I have a "can-do" attitude where if I don't know how to do something I will figure it out.

For skills, my degree is in Graphic Design, but I worked for the school newspaper and was an avid reader all growing up, so I'm very comfortable with English and teaching it to young kids. I enjoy reading aloud to children the most because my mother has a PhD in literacy and that is how I was raised and taught.

For the last few years I have been highly motivated about working with children and youth in as many avenues and experiences available to me. Of recent, I have been studying and teaching English around Austria. I would love to continue this avenue and hone my English teaching abilities in the coming years. In this experience I have acquired my Certificate TESOL and acquired over 300 hours of teaching practice in the Austrian school system. I have witnessed and created environments in which using language is both active and engaging for learners, which is core to my own personal teaching ethos. I have worked with children and young adults in many capacities and have experienced creating sustainable living conditions whilst working abroad; these are expressed in greater depth in my CV. This experience will offer insight into my own teaching abilities and allow for further professional development. I am excited about the opportunity to implement my knowledge and skills in a foreign yet similar environment.

Accomplished grasp of the English language
Throughout college my ability to write essays and statements has been praised. I assisted students who struggled with language and phrasing when writing essays and artist statements. I particularly enjoyed this as I worked wit h them instead of correcting their work for them, this helped them to learn from their previous mistakes and improve overall

Creative Problem Solving
Because of my background in art and design, I have honed my creative problem solving skills which has proved to be invaluable when working with younger students, particularly those who do not speak English proficiently. I believe that I have utilized this skill when designing lesson plans to keep the students entertained and interested while learning a new language.

Ability to Adapt
Over the years I have taught myself to adapt to ever changing situations and the ability to approach new tasks with composure and optimism. This was a necessity when I initially moved to South Korea. I believe that this ability has allowed me to experience this beautiful country with open eyes and embrace all that it has to offer

Having already graduated from university with a degree in Education Studies, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Youth and Community Work, I have recently qualified as a TEFL teacher (120 hours), and I am soon to become a qualified College teacher specialising in SEN (Special Educational Needs). This process has enabled me to become a professional and engaging teacher who is able to stimulate and empower students of all ages and abilities through fun and engaging activities.

In addition to my qualifications, I am able to plan, prepare and deliver lessons to students from a range of levels including beginners to advance learners. My background includes placements with young children, teenagers and adults, as well as a voluntary experience in Portugal. This highlights my ability to plan and deliver to all students, and to ensure that a student-centred approach is effectively utilised.
In my previous roles I have prepared a range of materials to support the learning of my students. This has helped to successfully engaged students to aspire to high standards. I am able to create an inclusive and fun learning environment that supports language development within a safe and engaging way.

Furthermore, I have experience of supporting students in groups and in one-to-ones, with high quality resources that encourage students to achieve learning objectives. I volunteered in a youth club in Portugal where I developed the speaking and listening skills of the students through conversation and games. This is important as it highlights my ability to educate students in both formal and informal contexts.

Additionally, I can offer experience of planning curriculums for new courses, and organising workshops to support learners. This has included speech and language workshops, readings groups and activities to develop confidence and communication.

As a native English speaker, with experience of teaching across all age ranges and abilities, I feel that I would be able to make a positive contribution to your students, and become a successful member of your team.

I am known to have a great, out-going and friendly personality that's easy to get on well with. I have experience in working with children as I have had the pleasure in giving extra help with certain subjects in my field such as the German and Spanish languages. I also hold a TEFL Certificate which I completed last year, which I am Looking forward to putting it to good use.

I am a foreign languages graduate with a TEFL qualification and have over two years worth of experience of living and working abroad as well as a year’s worth of teaching experience to a variety of age groups and ability levels.

I believe my varied employment background in management, hospitality, environmental services, financial services as well as language services and education has gifted me with a wealth of transferable skills that has been invaluable to me, and will continue to be in my role as an English teacher.

My first role as a classroom assistant and private english tutor was a great introduction into the high-pressured and constantly developing working environment that comes with teaching English. The children were incredibly impoverished as was the area and as a result school supplies were very limited, which encouraged more creative thinking from myself in order to keep classes engaging. Due to the nature of the school other challenges included maintaining control of the class, as the children had never experienced learning environments with rules and consequences for breaking them before, the classes were also overpopulated and understaffed. The age group and ability levels varied wildly, even within the same class, finding and creating the appropriate learning materials for all was challenging and a useful learning curve.

My recent role teaching English in Vietnam also challenged me in different ways. I had experience teaching adults as a class and in a tutor setting, I became more proficient at developing relationships quickly with students who had very limited English which in turn made the class a more comfortable learning environment. Challenges with the younger classes included exercising class control, maintaining a level of empathy and patience, reacting to potentially disruptive developing situations and remaining creative, enthusiastic and resourceful.

After living in Nicaragua and Vietnam, I understand the challenges that accompany learning a new language and teaching abroad and with my experience and credentials, I am well prepared to dedicate myself to the highest standards of ESL learning at your school.

My name is Rex Haines-Henderson and have just returned from a ski season in Austria teaching all levels to ski and building them from the ground up. My key skills include seeing someones potential and finding ways to help them achieve it, being a team player and having a positive outlook on life and will find the best in people and experiences I encounter. Joyful and positive person and will bring life and enjoyment to the groups and encourage my students to do their best and meet their goals. I have been a ski instructor for two seasons in Austria so I know how to handle a large group in a stressful environment. I am teaching at a summer camp in England for 6 weeks starting on the 8th or July. I am very interested in this role and would love the chance to speak to a member of your team.

My previous employments have been great introductions into high-pressured working environments. I have worked with children intermittently for the last 4 years. These experiences have equipped me with numerous transferable skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with students from different backgrounds with different levels of English.

My first role working with children at a summer camp in New York was a great introduction into a teaching environment. As a swim teacher, I had to create lesson plans and activities to keep the children engaged. This role demanded long working hours, extensive planning and organisation and provided the challenge of working with children with behavioural problems, which required a lot of patience and understanding.

My recent role teaching English as a second language in Vietnam has equipped me with many suitable skills. Classroom management, personalised learning programs, and innovative educational techniques are skills that I developed within this role. By teaching students from a wide range of ages and abilities, I have enhanced my communication, creativity, and motivational skills.

After living in Vietnam, I understand the challenges that accompany learning a new language and teaching abroad and with my experience and credentials, I am well prepared to dedicate myself to the highest standards of ESL learning at your school.
