I am a well-mannered, enthusiastic and diligent individual. Not only do I possess the practical skills demanded for this job, but I believe I have a certain energy and desire to do good that will make me a valuable asset to your team.

I have been consistently praised by my tutors for my ability to create a good classroom atmosphere where students feel at ease. My planning and organisational skills are strong and I can create my own material or adapt material from coursebooks.

I am open minded and kind. I love meeting new people and developing a strong rapport with my students. It is a pleasure and a privilege to help students on their journey to learn English.

I am a native English speaker from America and I graduated from Georgia State University in May 2015. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics and I also have a TEFL Certificate. I currently teach English online to students in China. I have been doing this since February 2017. Previously, I worked as an infant/toddler teacher at Brookside Academy. And before that, I worked as a customer service representative at Stein Mart. I have over two years of experience working with children and I absolutely love it.
I am a very positive and upbeat person and I am motivated to work hard and get the job done. I am always up for learning and trying new things and expanding my potential. Meeting deadlines and making sure everything is on task is very important to me. I am a very organized and detail-oriented person. I perform well under pressure and I have no problem with communicating ideas.
I have a lot of international travel experience. I spent the summers of 2014 and 2015 traveling throughout Europe. And since then I have traveled to various other places such as Canada and Mexico. This has broadened my horizons and opened up my eyes in a cultural aspect. It taught me to step out of my comfort zone and it instilled in me the passion and desire to live and work abroad.

I have experience working as a Theatre Teaching Assistant which has given me the opportunity to understand how to work in a learning environment with elementary aged children. I enjoyed teaching as I felt that I was able to bring energy and confidence out in the students. The reason I would like to teach English in South Korea is because I want to make students feel more confident with their understanding of the language and I feel that I am able to create an environment where they feel safe to put themselves out there.

My bachelors degree is in Theatre: Writing, Directing and Performance and as a result I have spent several years studying spoken English. It has also given me the confidence to comfortably stand at the front of a classroom.

I am very interested in learning languages myself and so I believe that I will be able to empathise with the students and present the classes in a clear and enjoyable way for them to understand and actively take part.

I recently completed my CELTA training through Teaching House in Washington, D.C.​ and attained my certification.​ I would very much like to teach in a ​smaller location in a sublime country like the Czech Republic to enjoy the culture. Given my personal and professional background, I believe I have the qualities and skills to accomplish the mission of your organization by orchestrating creative opportunities to enrich the children’s experiences and collaborating with the team members to make learning engaging and enjoyable.

My experience as an administrator, grant writer, researcher, and educator will allow me to effectively contribute to the every-day logistics at the school as well as to its current and future programming and events. Additionally, as a an educator, for the arts and English, my experience with working with children and the youth, both in The United States and in Korea has prepared me for the expectations and responsibilities that come with building up and encouraging children. My attention to detail, accountability, and ability to successfully develop and implement multiple projects in a timely manner have set me up for success in managing various projects and events, collaborating as an innovative voice of the staff, identifying success and areas of improvement, and bringing a positive and unique perspective to the organization.
