For the past 4 years, I have worked in various theaters throughout America as a costume stitcher, wardrobe supervisor, and designer. These opportunities have allowed me to gain skills in communication and education. In the world of theatre, communication is everything. Being able to adapt and communicate with people with a variety of different skills is essential, especially when moving from one theatre to another. Working as a stitcher and wardrobe supervisor, I've had experience teaching people skills related to makeup application, costume stitching, crafting, and designing. Recently, I graduated from Purdue University with a major in Theatre Design and Production. During my time at Purdue, I had the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for a costume design class. This position involved creating lesson plans and activities for students to learn skills related to costume stitching and design. I just completed my last semester of my undergraduate degree while I was studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea. While in Seoul, I met people from all over the world. Many of my friends were studying English and would ask me questions if they were struggling. I found that I really enjoyed helping people learn something new! Now that I've graduated, I'm excited to begin the next adventure in my life. I want to continue pursuing teaching as my career in a city that I love. I look forward to hearing from you!
