Christian: United Kingdom: The University of Manchester: Dec 01, 2020

I am writing to apply for Science/Math teaching opportunities in Seoul, South Korea. I am a native English-speaking graduate and a UK citizen. I have recently completed my Master's degree in Physics from the University of Manchester, home to one of the top Physics departments in Europe.

I recently completed a 168-hour TEFL qualification where I learnt to develop effective lesson plans, create an interesting variety of engaging activities, techniques for evaluating students and how to work effectively with my co-teachers to create the optimal learning environment.

Having worked as an online tutor for 5 months earlier this year I already have experience teaching students on a one-to-one basis. I conducted weekly Skype sessions with students to help them prepare for their GCSE and A-level exams in Maths and Physics. Furthermore, my position as a Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) leader during my second year of university allowed me to develop various group teaching methods. I will combine these previous experiences with the skills and techniques I acquired during the TEFL certification to implement effective teaching strategies and perform as an excellent Science/Math teacher.

I am eager to use my various experiences in order to encourage students to have a greater appreciation and a strong understanding of scientific concepts, and hopefully to inspire them to go further and carry on their studies at university. I currently have all my required visa documents prepared and ready. I would very much like the opportunity to discuss my application with you further at interview. Thank you for taking the time to read my CV and I look forward to hearing from you.
