SAT/AP Teachers

My work experience with children have been deep rooted in me as one of the first older students within my Korean community. Tutoring them throughout my high school and college years, I have tried to continue the Korean educational pride among the community. Throughout college, I engaged in community service working with underserved populations to teach kids who do not have stable homes and support. After college, the majority of my professional career has been working with kids in the nation's top pediatric hospital. Working with kids who shine through even with illnesses that they carry has only grown my desire to work more alongside children.

I am a professional teacher of Korean, and Korean language expert.

I started my teaching career at a high school in my home country in 1986 and since then, I have been teaching Korean subject at Secondary school level within my home country and abroad. Currently I am teaching at one of the high schools in my home country.

So far, I have provided my students with the quality educational service along with sincere pastoral care and the differentiated optimal learning experience, which has accommodated each student’s various needs.

I have led many students toward academic excellence and assisted them with good interpersonal skills in the matter of each one’s character-building and fulfilling own full potential.

Also, I have been known as a teacher having made an excellent result of the success in pupils’ university entrance test.

As a teacher of Korean, I am equipped with the extensive and in-depth subject knowledge, teaching skills, and an exceptional ability of designing lesson/assessment material on the full range of Korean language & literature in accordance with subject specification of Korean mother tongue proficiency course and foreigners’ second language acquisition course.

I believe that I have been proven not only as a professional instructor but also as a committed and enthusiastic educator with high standard of integrity, a self-motivated hard worker, and a team player with strong work ethic in educational sector.

I also have contributed from some of my experiences as educational administrator to the high caliber of effective educational administration.

I wish that my passion and commitment on Korean language education would continually be of a good help in students’ study of Korean.

My prior engagement with the Writing Center at Lake Forest College taught me the logistics of teaching grammar, essay construction, and literature analysis to students. I learned there that a good tutor is intuitive, pays attention to the student’s needs, and adapts to unexpected circumstances. I am an experienced teacher who also works on other projects currently, including freelance copy editing and content creation. For the most part, my focus has been on education though, and I am now ready to transfer my considerable teaching experience to a more hands-on environment.

I've been teaching for a year and completed my Tefl certificate about 3 months ago I've been doing after work as i am curranty employed as a general admin for about 10 years, i also have completed my NQF4 in general business management.
